Understanding Your “Must-Haves” vs. “Nice-to-Haves”
Before you even step foot in a showing, you need a clear, written list. It’s easy to get swept up in the excitement of a vaulted ceiling and forget that you actually need a home office.

Take out a piece of paper (or a tablet) and make two columns:

- Non-Negotiables: These are things you cannot change. Number of bedrooms, a specific lot size, or a garage.

- The Wish List: These are the “perfect” elements. Granite countertops, hardwood floors, or a finished basement.

The “Throne Room” Basics (Trust Us, You Need This)
If there is one thing that can turn a “yay, we own a house!” mood into a “why did we do this?” mood, it’s realized, too late, that the bathrooms are completely empty. No matter how clean the previous owners were, you’re going to want your own supplies the second you cross the threshold.

What to pack:
- Toilet Paper: Pack more than you think.
- Hand Soap & a Hand Towel: You’ll be touching a lot of dusty surfaces.
- A Shower Curtain and Rings: There is nothing worse than wanting a hot shower after a long day of moving and realizing there’s no curtain to keep the water in the tub.
