After staying between 5.98% and 6.01% for 2 weeks in late February, average mortgage rates are now at 7 month highs! The cause? The war in Iran. As the price of oil rises, so has the 10 year treasury bond which has caused interest rates to rise hand in hand. The question now is, how long will it take for rates to calm back down once the Iran war is over? And also, when will the war end?
