Brownfield sites come with history: environmental complexity, prior use, layers of challenges most developers would rather avoid. We don't. Site transformation is core to how Kurv Industrial approaches development. We take underutilized, often contaminated land and do the hard work of turning it into modern, high-performing logistics facilities — while delivering real benefits to the communities around them.

At Kurv Tacoma, that work happened at scale. The 160-acre site was a former Superfund property — heavily contaminated, largely undeveloped for nearly 40 years. Working in close coordination with the EPA, our teams safely consolidated and isolated lead and arsenic impacted soils beneath engineered building and site systems, moving approximately 1 million cubic yards of material to create a long-term protective barrier against human and environmental exposure.

The result: a significantly safer outcome for the site and surrounding community — and a responsibly remediated, economically productive asset where idle land once sat.
