Want to know one of the best features of my newest listing? Apparently, it comes with GREAT neighbors. 😂🏡

I was getting a home ready to hit the market in Carmichael this week when my friend Ryan Lundquist happened to be walking his dog through the neighborhood. He stopped to say hi, noticed I could use an extra set of hands, ran home to grab his tools, and came back to help me remove a few fixtures and ramps.

Well… I jumped. And apparently I don’t do anything halfway. 😂

On Mother’s Day, I jumped from a rock to the shore of a beautiful mountain lake and ended up breaking my tibia and fibula AND dislocating my ankle. Not exactly the Mother’s Day adventure I had planned.

What followed was quite the journey and an even bigger reminder of how many incredible people I have in my life.

I am so grateful to the Truckee Fire Department and for getting me safely off that mountain, to the team at Tahoe Forest Hospital and Eli Lessard for putting me back together the first time, and to Dr. Sean Thomas Campbell and the UCD Ortho Trauma team for adding a little extra hardware and, most importantly, making sure both legs are still the same length. 🤣 It’s the little things!

And then there’s my family. ❤️ My amazing husband who became caregiver, chef, shower assistant, chauffeur… you name it. My kids who stepped in to put out open house signs and drive me where I needed to go. I truly could not have done this without them.

I also owe a HUGE thank you to my clients. You stuck with me through the scooter, the walking boot, the very fashionable scooter and boot covers 😂, and everything in between. Thank you for the grace you gave me while I worked hard to make sure you never missed a beat.

And now, after months of scooting, rolling and boot-scootin’ boogieing…

I’M BACK ON MY FEET! 🙌

The heels and I haven't officially reunited yet, but I can hear them calling my name from the closet. 👠😂 For now, I’m strengthening those muscles and feeling incredibly grateful.

Moral of the story? If you're going to jump off rocks in the mountains, make sure you have people you love nearby. And never, ever take for granted the firefighters, first responders, doctors, family, friends and community who show up when you need them most. 🤍

A new personal record… but the best part of this one has nothing to do with real estate. 🤍

1041 Dove Lane officially closed and during the process, we managed to go in and out of contract in just 7 days. Definitely a first for me!

But this closing also brought me back to my old stomping grounds in the Bay Area, helping a family I’ve known since middle school. Between holding the home open, enjoying those cool Bay breezes, and sneaking in visits to some favorite restaurants with lifelong friends, this one felt a little like coming home myself.

You know the saying, “Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold.”

Well, I hold my “old” gold friends pretty darn close. 💛 And after all these years, it means so much when they still call me with their real estate questions, and even more when they trust me to take care of something as important as this.

Congratulations to my sellers on a successful closing and their next chapter! 🏡

A referral is never “just a lead” to me.

When you send your friend, neighbor, coworker, or family member my way, I know you’re putting a little bit of your own reputation on the line, too. You’re trusting me to take care of someone you care about, and I do not take that lightly.

Sometimes taking care of a client means negotiating hard. Sometimes it means catching the detail that could become a much bigger problem later. And sometimes it means being willing to say, “I know you love this house, but I don’t think this is the one.”

My job isn’t simply to get someone to the closing table. It’s to help them make a decision they’ll still feel good about long after we leave it.
