William is running is his 4th and final Eugene Marathon on Sunday, running to raise money for Parkinson's Research and his Grandma Susie.

- Nearly 90,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease each year, representing a 50% increase from previous estimates.

- By 2030, an estimated 1.2 million people in the U.S. will be living with Parkinson’s.

- Only about 10–15% of cases are directly linked to familial genetics, while the majority (around 90%) are "sporadic," occurring without a known family history due to a mix of unknown environmental and genetic factors.

My mom's case shows no genetic link to her Parkinson's. For that we are grateful! However with diagnosis rates increasing rapidly, we've got to figure out what is causing the disease.
