🏡 JUST SOLD | 809 Banpo Ct, Lincoln

I first met with these sellers two and a half years ago, when they were preparing to relocate from Twelve Bridges to Southern California. With so much uncertainty about whether they would stay in SoCal or eventually return to Lincoln, they wanted to understand their options—and the pros and cons of selling versus renting.

Ultimately, they decided to hold onto the home and rent it for two years. Once they knew Southern California was where they wanted to stay, they called me and it was time to sell.

With my sellers living hundreds of miles away, I handled the entire process of getting the home market-ready, including coordinating a landscape refresh and fresh interior paint because…renters. 😉

Once the work was complete, we brought the home to market and successfully got it sold and closed!

With a strong El Niño strengthening across the Pacific, meteorologists are forecasting an unusually active winter filled with heavy atmospheric river storms. That means the best time to prep our homes isn't after the first deluge—it’s right now while the sun is still shining.

Here is your quick early-fall prep checklist:

Clear those gutters & scuppers: Get leaves and debris out before heavy rain hits.

Check your drainage: Make sure downspouts and swales push water at least 3–5 feet away from your foundation.

Trim heavy branches: High winds + rain-soaked soil = vulnerable trees. Thin those top-heavy canopies early!

Test your backup power & sump pumps: Check batteries, generators, and pump float switches before the grid blinks.

If you’ve bought or sold a home in the Roseville area—or worked in our local real-estate community—there’s a good chance Dan Silver has helped you along the way. Now, after decades of helping others, Dan and his wife, Ann, need our help.

Dan has been my trusted home inspector for more than a decade. Many of you know him as I do: knowledgeable, thorough, kind and always willing to take the extra time to help a buyer truly understand their new home.

Dan was recently diagnosed with a terminal, inoperable brain tumor and remains under doctor's care. It is not expected he will return home.

Because of his illness, Dan and Ann have had to close the home-inspection business they built and operated together for more than 20 years—their sole source of income. They are also facing the heartbreaking necessity of selling their home.

I will be helping prepare and sell the house. It needs repairs and improvements before going on the market so that we can protect as much of their equity as possible and help provide Ann with greater financial security moving forward. This is all happening while the family is managing Dan’s care, everyday expenses, unimaginable grief and an overwhelming amount of uncertainty.

Dan and Ann have spent decades serving our community. They are also founding members of St. Clare Catholic Church in Roseville. Now, I’m asking our REALTOR® community, Dan’s past clients and the St. Clare community to surround them with support.
