I took a break in California to go skiing and eat good Mexican food and ended up in Sacramento, wh

ere I had a wonderful family and a 20+ year career in the luxury automotive business. When I told my kids I wanted to make a career change, my oldest son said, “Mom, all you do is drag us around to open houses… even when we’re on vacation! Why don’t you just sell real estate?” So, I did and the rest is history!

The 13th and final lesson from "This Dream Is Yours" was perseverance. Bulent Özel’s story reminded me that the dream is not always glamorous while it is being built.
