Tell me you’ve been in real estate a LONG time without telling me you’ve been in real estate a long time… 😂

I’ll go first:

📠 Handwritten contracts.
📝 THREE-part carbon copies.
☎️ Faxing an offer… then calling the other agent to ask, “Did you get it?”

And if you know what it felt like waiting for that fax machine to finally spit out the last page… you’re my people. 😂

A LOT has changed since I became a REALTOR® in 2004. Contracts went digital, signatures happen from our phones, marketing looks completely different, and thankfully I no longer have to hover over a fax machine praying all 27 pages went through. 🙌🏼

But some things haven’t changed.

Good communication matters.
Knowing how to negotiate matters.
Experience matters.
And taking care of the PEOPLE behind the transaction will never go out of style.

22+ years later, I still genuinely love what I do—and I’ve got a whole lot of stories from along the way. 😉

I’ve been a track mom, wrestling mom, volleyball mom, cross-country mom, basketball mom, and tennis mom… but somehow, after all these years of motherhood, yesterday I officially entered a brand-new era and title:

⚽️ SOCCER MOM. ⚽️

My youngest had her first soccer experience yesterday and she did SO good! But what made this mama happiest was seeing how much fun she had. She was excited, she participated, she listened, she ran her little heart out… and that smile on her face pretty much said it all.

One of the funny things about having kids in such different stages of life is getting to experience some of these “firsts” all over again. I’ve spent a whole lot of years sitting in bleachers, standing alongside tracks and courts, hauling water bottles, cheering from sidelines and rearranging life around practices and games.

Aside from all those titles I’ve worn, I’ve always been a realtor, maybe that’s one of the reasons I’ve always loved real estate. It’s a career that has allowed me to build a business I’m proud of while still being Mom and showing up for moments like these.

My phone is on, I’m still answering calls and texts, and if you need your Realtor, I’m here… I just might be answering from the soccer sidelines, you can help me cheer ⚽️😉

Here’s to my newest chapter… Soccer Mom Era activated. ⚽️❤️

And judging by how much she loved it, I have a feeling I’ll be wearing this title for a while.

Anyone can pull up a website and browse homes for sale.
What actually matters is having someone who knows when to slow things down and when to tell you the truth, even when it’s not what you want to hear.
Finding the house is the easy part. The real job is making sure it’s the right one for you, and that you don’t overpay or get burned along the way.

After years in real estate, I can tell you that selling the house is only one part of the job.

Most of my time is spent guiding people through decisions that come with a lot of pressure, questions and emotion. I keep track of the details, explain what actually matters, deal with problems as they come up and say what needs to be said, even when it is not the answer someone was hoping for.
