The approximate share of government-backed and conventional purchase mortgages in August that went to first-time buyers was the highest level for any August in data going back to 2014, according to Intercontinental Exchange. Home-buying affordability is near its worst level in decades, but first-time buyers are still pushing ahead, making sacrifices such as choosing smaller homes, moving farther from city centers, or getting creative with financing.

Do you follow the Landlord Tenant laws in CA? Oddly most of the landlords and tenants I work with are not very familiar, mostly taking word of mouth from friends who are "experts" (and normally wrong).
The announced maximum allowable increases for 2023, applicable to properties covered by AB 1482 (The California Tenant Protection Act) will go into effect August 1, 2023, and will be in place until the end of July, 2024.
