I am actually losing sleep over this. We just paid $14,500 to extend our driveway and this is what the side looks like. Why does the new asphalt look like it’s melting into the lawn?? The main strip looks fine, but the edge is chunky, uneven, and spilling into the grass like they just free-poured it and walked away. The contractor says, “That’s standard edge finish.” STANDARD?? For fifteen thousand dollars I expected clean, sharp lines — not a tar waterfall into my yard. Am I overreacting or should the perimeter look way more polished than this??
