🏛️✨ Advocacy in action from Washington, D.C.! ✨🏛️
This week, representatives from Five Points REALTORS® joined thousands of real estate professionals from across the country in Washington, D.C. for the REALTOR® Legislative Meetings.
While advocacy is an important part of the experience, the week is about much more than policy. It is an opportunity to learn from economists, industry leaders, technology experts, historians, and fellow REALTORS® who are helping shape the future of housing and real estate.
Throughout the week, we participated in educational sessions covering market trends, housing affordability, emerging technologies, MLS developments, leadership, and the changing needs of today’s consumers. We met with congressional offices, engaged in meaningful conversations about property rights and homeownership, and collaborated with colleagues from across Texas and the nation.
One lesson surfaced repeatedly: progress happens through relationships. Whether serving clients, strengthening communities, or advocating for housing issues, meaningful change begins when people are willing to listen, learn, and work together.
As leaders of Five Points REALTORS®, we believe representation means more than simply having a seat at the table. It means bringing back ideas, insights, and opportunities that help our members better serve their clients and communities.
We are grateful for the trust our members place in us to represent their interests at the local, state, and national levels. Every meeting, conversation, and educational opportunity this week was an investment in the future of our profession and the people we serve.
A big thank you to 2026 President-Elect- Joseph Towns, Edmarie Mason, 2026 President- Candace Cooke, Christy Gessler, Meagan Campion, Mary Miner, Alisha Austin, Leisa Ormsbee, Megan Turnipseed, Lauren Ormsbee, Heather Bonamo, Tina Walden, Amy Kobza, Michele Sherwood, Avis Wukasch, Jennifer Lish, and Rebecca Taurozzi for showing up, speaking up, and helping make sure real estate has a seat at the table. 🙌
