How Much Money Do You Really Need to Buy a Home?

Some buyers think they need 20% down to get started.

The truth is, many buyers can purchase a home with as little as 3% to 5% down, depending on the loan program.

But that’s not the only number to think about.

You also need to budget for:

Closing costs.

Earnest money.

Inspection and appraisal fees.
