Twenty-five years later, Connecticut remembers. 🇺🇸

Today, Friday, September 11, Western Connecticut communities will gather in remembrance:

▪️Brookfield: 8 a.m., Town Hall, 100 Pocono Road
▪️ New Milford: Gather at 8 a.m.; ceremony begins at 8:46 a.m., September 11 Memorial at Patriots Way
▪️ Woodbury: 8:45 a.m., Hollow Park, 43 Hollow Road
▪️ Danbury: 10 a.m., Elmwood Park on Main Street
▪️ New Fairfield: 5 p.m., September 11 Memorial behind the Senior Center, 33 Route 37
▪️ Ridgefield: 5:30 p.m., September 11 Memorial, 195 Danbury Road
▪️ Bethel: 6 p.m., procession from the Bethel Volunteer Fire Department to Town Hall, followed by the dedication of the town’s new memorial

These gatherings offer neighbors a place to pause, remember the lives lost, honor the courage and sacrifice of first responders, and stand together as a community.

Earlier this week, Connecticut held its annual September 11 Memorial Ceremony at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport. Family members participated, and the names of the 161 victims with ties to Connecticut were read aloud.

Please share this information so neighbors who wish to participate know where their community will gather. Because schedules can change, confirm final details with the applicable town before traveling.
