ATTENTION. New Legislation that WILL Impact YOU!

I am lovingly calling it the “Can’t be a mobster no more Act”

This new legislation is arriving January 1, 2024 and will impact virtually all small businesses in the United States. If you think it won’t impact you it probably does.

If your tax professional has not covered this with you then you can reach out to us.

It’s dense legislation and has been awful to digest but its implications can carry penalties upwards of $10,000 and/or 2 years in jail!

I have a lecture planned December 7 at Good Company Realty and will include this information. If any other companies would like a lecture please let me know.

The IRS is doubling up on resources ( they keep trying to hire me); that coupled with the new legislation is a small business owners nightmare.

I had naysayers when I warned of the new 1099K reporting for third party payments (Venmo, PayPal etc) but here it is in black and white - are they going after big business? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

The goal is to hit small business because they don’t have the means to fight back. I already have clients getting notices just blankly saying “ there is an error on your return so pay is $X thousand”

To quote; In fact, going after the lower and middle class can actually be more lucrative for IRS auditors than trying to get more money from the wealthy. “The rich have their lawyers and fight it — that’s why the poor are easier to go after,” Hinchman adds.

If you thought going at taxes alone was a good choice in the past it may be time to find someone who will fight for your small business - I hate a bully and I fight hard for my clients regardless of size.

If you think tax planning doesn’t work - ask any of my repeat clients!

Just got done helping one of my favorite repeat clients and last year they took out an IRA distribution for just over $10k and would have owed thousand in taxes.

Year 1 - structured them into a COVID relief CARES act deferral of IRA income, and was able to get them a small refund instead of owing.

Year 2 - was able to utilize the American Relief Act to shield the taxable income from 2020 and get them a $4,500 REFUND.

When they would have OWED thousands they have NEVER owed in any year.
