🌱Post-fire Reforestation to begin in Blue 2 Fire Scar🌲

The Lincoln National Forest is gearing up to begin a five‑year reforestation plan to help our burned landscapes recover.

To kick it all off, this fall, we are going to be planting 40,000 seedlings in the Blue 2 Fire scar!

💚Don't forget we have nearly 100 community “adopted” trees from Smokey Bear Days that will be planted as well. Follow their progress at: https://www.fs.usda.gov/r03/lincoln/projects/reforestation-station

🌧 Planting begins in August, the 10th to be exact, to take advantage of monsoon moisture.

If you are curious about the South Fork Fire scar our planting here is planned for 2028 after we finish some fuel reduction in the area. Stay tuned for future updates on this work.

Party in the Park Car Show is coming to All-American Park! 🚘

Join us Sunday, August 9th in Ruidoso Downs for the Party in the Park Car Show! Bring out your ride, check out the lineup, and enjoy a day of cars, community, and fun at the park.

Roll-in is from 8:00 –10:00 AM, so get there early and get your car ready for the show!

Party in the Park is a fundraiser benefiting the “Big Ben” Sanchez Youth Foundation.
