☀️Summer’s packing its bags… slowly. 🇺🇸🏡 Labor Day weekend is here.
The unofficial end of summer just pulled up, and Old Glory is still standing out front like it didn’t get the three-day-weekend memo.
All week we’ve been out here turning houses into homes across Monmouth and north Ocean County — grit, pride, and just enough contractor attitude to keep things interesting. We love making homes look this good and keeping them that way for years to come.
Hold tight — Monday we’ll have a proper Labor Day salute. For now, enjoy the long weekend. Fire up the grill, claim a beach/porch/pool chair, and soak up what’s left of summer.

Tile day - slab day, and the floor is stealing the show.
This is the unglamorous-but-gorgeous part. Membrane for movement. Clips for lippage. Clean stubs left for the island. Protected windows. No shortcuts.
This kitchen just hit that beautiful in-between: orange Ditra down, large-format tile going in, leveling clips everywhere so this floor stays flat for years.
Crew’s following the plan like they can do this in their sleep.💪

Most kitchens get a ceiling. This one is getting a statement.
Bradley Beach is in the custom-ceiling phase. First the markup: framed beadboard, molded edges, cuts that have to land clean when they meet the rest of the room. Then the install: planks going up, trim getting cut, crew working the length of the space like the floor isn’t even the point anymore. In the breaks? That’s where the exposed beams are going. It’s going to turn out 🔥
Walls are painted. Hardwood is patched and holding like a first rate champ. The ceiling is the new loudmouth in the room.

More coming as this Shore kitchen stops looking like a jobsite and starts looking like the reason we framed it in one day.🧰

Jason’s Dreams for Kids Super 50/50 is back — and it’s all about the kids. Let’s help fill these 300 tickets!
This local organization was founded in memory of Jason Douglas Creager. For more than 30 years they have granted dreams to children facing life-threatening illnesses — the trip they’ve been hoping for, the day that puts a smile back on a whole family’s face. Almost every dollar goes straight to those children.

This year’s drawing is limited:
• Only 300 tickets • $100 each
• Drawing Monday, October 5, 2026 at 1:05 PM
• Winner does not need to be present
• Three prizes: $10,000 • $3,000 • $2,000
• Must be 18 to enter
• Checks payable to Jason’s Dreams for Kids

To get tickets, call the number on the stub: 732-758-0060.
If you can’t meet up with Dennis in person, I will be happy to pick up your check and deliver it for you. Shortly after you will receive your ticket.

Things Got Rotten. Then 📲
Another great project for our awesome repeat clients.
The original structural beams had given out. We replaced them with custom brackets from Eastern Architectural Millwork — aluminum core wrapped in AZEK.
Stronger, cleaner, and built to handle the weather out here.
This is the kind of work you only see when you actually open things up. Glad we could take care of it the right way.💪

Another Friday night across Monmouth and north Ocean County, and Old Glory is out here like it didn’t get the memo that the workweek ended.

Here’s a little story for you….
Tile supplier said they’d call before the tile showed up…
Fast forward two hours later….
Now - it’s just this pallet sitting in the driveway.

The plan, we were going to be there to roll the garage door up so they can tuck it away from the heat (or whatever the weather decides to do). Instead it’s just… there waiting for us to rescue it.

You plan. They surprise you. Classic.

Anyone else get the “it’s here, good luck” delivery?

Happy National Dog Day from the real job-site supervisors!

These furry job-site managers don’t clock out.
They inspect the demo, approve the framing, and demand treats at 10 a.m. sharp. And they get more compliments than the finished kitchen.🐾
