Intake of 817 animals in one year in one parish, and this is only a fraction of the real number! So many animals are not even counted such as the many cats in cat colonies, the animals people find & rehome themselves, or the ones that die from neglect or abuse before receiving help.
Please comment below how you think Lincoln Parish can reduce the # of stray animals in our parish??

We have been pushing for the need of improved animal ordinances, ENFORCING the ordinances, & spaying/neutering!

The Ruston Police Department is now offering Autism Awareness Vehicle Stickers free of charge. These stickers can help first responders quickly recognize that someone in the vehicle may have unique communication or sensory needs during a traffic stop, crash, or other emergency.

Having this sticker displayed can:
• Alert first responders
• Help reduce stress and anxiety during unexpected interactions.
• Encourage communication techniques that are more effective for individuals with autism.
• Improve safety for everyone involved during emergency situations.

If you would like a sticker for your vehicle, stop by the Ruston Police Department during normal business hours to pick one up. We are committed to serving every member of our community with compassion, understanding, and professionalism.
