I spent the afternoon hosting an open house. My very first open house. I’m a new Realtor. My neighbor trusted me to sell his home. A home that he shared with his loving wife who passed away. They have a love story that is made for the movies. He’s a kind, mellow, patient man who can tell a story like nobody’s business. My good friend came to my open house. I had sent her a text saying my fear is that nobody shows up. Not only did strangers show up to see this beautiful space but so did my friend. Her text saying “I’ll be there” made all the fear disappear. I’m so thankful for her friendship. She put my fear to rest. It wasn’t the balloons that were placed out front that brought people in. It was the space with its good vibes and historical charm. I sit here writing this as a freight train strolls on by outside my window with a noise that is comforting to the soul. I’m thankful for the people in my life who support me and guide me. This picture is from my drive home. I met a friend in Portland after my big day. Another beautiful friend who supports me and loves me. I’m forever grateful.
