Thinking about buying a home? Here’s something you should know.

One of the biggest changes in real estate is that buyers are now required to sign a Buyer Broker Agreement before touring homes with an agent.

If you’ve never purchased a home before, don’t let that catch you by surprise.

A Buyer Broker Agreement is designed to:
✔️ Clearly define our working relationship
✔️ Explain how representation works
✔️ Outline compensation upfront
✔️ Ensure I am advocating for your best interests throughout the transaction

One important exception: If you’re attending a public open house, you can still walk through the home without signing a Buyer Broker Agreement. However, if you’d like a REALTOR® to schedule a private showing or represent you during your home search, an agreement must be in place beforehand.

Most importantly, the agreement gives us an opportunity to have an open conversation about your goals, answer your questions, and make sure you feel comfortable before we begin your home-buying journey.

My goal is always to educate my clients so they can make informed decisions with confidence—no surprises along the way.
