After a little unexpected time away from the game she loves, Juice is back on the field ⚽️💙
The past few weeks have looked a little different for our family as we navigated her diagnosis of Graves’ disease. There were appointments, adjustments, questions, and a lot of learning along the way — but through it all, she has continued to show the strength and determination that make her who she is.
After 6 weeks away from soccer, she was cleared to return and has been working hard to rebuild her strength, endurance, and confidence. Getting back into playing shape takes time, but she is showing up, putting in the work, and taking it one day at a time.
We couldn’t be more proud of her resilience and her commitment to getting back to doing what she loves. 💪⚽️
Next stop… ECNL Playoffs in Seattle! 🌲⚽️ She’s ready to keep working, keep growing, and represent her team with the same heart she always brings to the field.

14 years ago today, April 2nd at 9ish am, I became a mom. It was wonderful and also the scariest day of my life. I had been diagnosed with pre-eclampsia a few days before and was hoping to stay pregnant a while longer, but it didn't work out like that. Lillian Isabel was born via c-section at 29 weeks weighing only 2lbs. I had no idea babies could survive at that age/size. I was so afraid and still really sick. I didn't even see her for the first 24 hours but Garrett got a picture of her taken by the amazing NICU nurses and bought a frame in the hospital gift shop. I fell asleep the first night holding the framed picture while Garrett changed the first of many tiny diapers on a tiny human who looked like an alien with a million tubes running in and out of her. And then I finally got to hold her, so small and wrinkly and perfect and I thought "I will never love anyone like I love this person."
I ache to go back to that moment and live 14 years over again just to get more time with her. Lilly is sunshine, marshmallows, The Office - all the best stuff wrapped in a beautiful, brilliant, annoyed (at me mostly), brave, and kind 14 year old.
