“We love our house… we just don’t fit in it anymore.”
I hear some version of this more often than you might think.
And usually, there's nothing wrong with the house.
It may have been the perfect home when you bought it.
Then life happened.
The kids got bigger.
Working from home became normal.
The garage somehow got smaller. 😂
Family started visiting more often.
And the kitchen that once felt huge suddenly feels pretty crowded.
That's one of the interesting things about homeownership:
Sometimes the house doesn't change. You do.
That doesn't mean it's time to put a For Sale sign in the yard tomorrow.
But it might mean it's worth asking whether your home still supports the way your family lives today and where you're headed next.
Because a home can hold a lot of great memories and still not be the right home for your next chapter.
You don't have to stop loving a home to realize you've outgrown it.
