How is Sacramento really using its offices in 2026? New Placer.ai data offers a look.

Office visits in the Sacramento region are at 57% of pre-pandemic levels, compared with 65% nationwide. Hybrid work is clearly here to stay, and the patterns are telling:

Wednesday is the busiest in-office day at 79%, while Fridays sit at 43%.
Employees with 25+ mile commutes show the strongest return at 81%.

What stands out to us is where people are choosing to go. The spaces drawing people in are creative, walkable, amenity-rich environments that make collaboration easy and the commute worth it.

For a few days every year, this conference puts brokers, developers, retailers, property owners, and municipalities in the same rooms.
