New homes which just finished construction should be perfect, right?
Most of the time no, they aren't. Frequently there are one or two items or safety devices that are missed, damaged, or fail prior to anyone living in them.
In a recent inspection on a house where the buyer was just picking up the keys, one such item existed. In one of the attic areas, a missing junction box cover plate. A safety hazard but an easy fix.
Don't just assume a builder or contractor did their job, get an inspection.
