Keep Derak in your prayers today as he has double fusion back surgery. The surgery will take 4.5-5 hours with an even longer recovery. He was already asking the surgeon what the chances of him making it to his sonā€™s basketball game tomorrow night (there is zero chance). He has NEVER missed a game! So if you see me pushing him around in a wheel chair at the game know that first of all he escaped from the hospital and second of all it was not my idea!šŸ¤£ They told him he canā€™t lift more than 10 lbs for 3 months (we know thatā€™s not happening) and when I told Kai that he said what are we going to do? Dad is like our rock! If you know Derak you know he is kind of like Superman! It will be hard for the kids to see him like this but I said donā€™t worry you have ME!šŸ¤£ As long as nothing breaks and the cats donā€™t bring in a mouse we will be just fine! Pray for me too because he is very stubborn and does not listen to rules very well.šŸ¤£
