As another year comes to a close, I’ve been sitting with a lot of gratitude. Not the polished, highlight-reel kind, but the quiet, soul-level kind. 2025 changed me in ways I didn’t expect, and looking back, these are the moments that mattered most:

- This year, our daughter turned the big ONE, and somehow time slowed down and sped up all at once. 🎂

- We spent countless days in Tahoe as a family, enjoying less rushing, more presence, and more memories that don’t fit into a camera roll. ❤️

- My son, Aleksey, won 2 state records for weightlifting. 🏋️‍♂️

- I changed everything about my business (except Dana, I mean, duh, she’s an extension of me, so that would be odd). Jokes aside, I rebuilt in a way that finally feels authentic, aligned, and true.

- I switched business coaches, and for the first time, worked with someone whose values and faith mirror my own.

- I had the chance to meet Tom Ferry, who has shaped my business more than he’ll probably ever realize. Especially this past year.

- I turned 40 and celebrated with a lifetime-dream trip to Lānaʻi with my husband. It was the best vacation ever! A pause, a reset, and a reminder that joy is the why. 🌴

- We also traveled to Hawaii as a family, creating memories I know I’ll carry forever because time flies way too fast. 🌺

- Besides Ladi turning one, Ramin turned four, Aleksey turned sixteen, and suddenly, we’re talking about college. I’m still catching my breath. Be still my mama heart!

And as for real estate, who cares how many homes I sold. What matters is how many families trusted me during some of the biggest, most emotional moments of their lives. How many kitchen-table conversations I was invited into. How many times someone looked at me and said, “We don’t know what to do.”

I don’t take that responsibility lightly, ever.

This year reminded me that success isn’t loud. It’s saying yes when God nudges, and trusting Him when the next step isn’t fully visible yet.

I’m stepping into the new year with open hands, a grateful heart, and with deep trust that what’s ahead is already being prepared.

Cheers to 2026! What are you looking forward to this year?

Hey Tri-County friends, here is your friendly reminder to pre-order your delicious Valentine’s Day boxes! You can never go wrong with chocolate for Valentine's Day, especially from Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates 🍫

They have 2 locations. One location is downtown, and the other is in Folsom. Order ahead of time to make sure you get your box before they are sold out.
If by any chance you’re late to order, they can always custom-create a box on the spot, while supplies last. 💘

Trust me on this one, the special lady in your life will appreciate the effort you put into ordering ahead of time.

Take my advice and give Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates a call at either location at (916) 706-1738 right now for a delicious chocolate treat for your Valentine. Your extra effort here will not go unnoticed!

Unfiltered things I say as a Realtor every day 😭

5 reasons your dollar is best spent locally.

5) About $0.68 of every dollar spent locally gets reinvested in our community, like El Dorado Hills. This isn't just about keeping money in the same spot. It's about making that money the most effective. When you spend your money inside of your community, it creates an economic synergy. You decide what businesses survive with your hard earned dollars. Like one of my favorites, World Traveler Coffee Roasters.

4) You create a better place to live. Towns thriving with local, small businesses are just more interesting, culturally vibrant places to live. No one wants to live in a city dominated by national chains and big box stores. Ironically, if you want more variety and specialty options, think smaller. Not bigger.

3) Local businesses have to serve their communities well. They literally can't afford to offer a bad product or a substandard service. They don't have big, fancy marketing budgets to make up for it. So, every dollar and every customer counts. Most small businesses literally have their name on their buildings, so it's their reputation that's at stake, not just the bottom line.

2) Your dollar spent locally buys you access to real people, not a customer service line. Small business owners are passionate about what they do, so they are your best source of expert information on the subject. You don't have to worry about your call or your concern being outsourced to an overseas center. Chances are you'll be speaking to a knowledgeable business owner or employee when you shop locally.

1) Your dollar directly influences a life, not a logo. There is a person and a family behind every small business. What's more, 2 out of every 3 new jobs have been created by small businesses since 2014. So your dollar creates local jobs for other people in your community. Spending your dollar locally is the best investment you can make in your neighbor's life.

The average American moves 4-6 times between the ages of 18 and 45. Personally, my family has moved 12 times over the last 20 years. And there's probably a few more to go! 😉

How many times have you moved?
