BUILT for $1 in Sagaponack 30 years ago, my first build in The Hamptons. I had a 28 foot Palm tree in the living room, and it fully cleaned the Marlboro air at the time. Master suite top floor, two guest bedrooms, two additional full baths. Wooded 1/2 Acre bordering two acre reserve, I drew the house and had an architect fine tune it. Circular driveway with real fruit trees. Full basement, brilliant pool with full surround seating around the pool decking, robust garden area, moments to Sagg Main and in Sag Harbor School District. The ‘Art of Noticing’. There was a storm and trees fell…roads flooded. I saw a thousand new acorns around one tree. Early enough to catch wet fall weather in unfrozen grounds… Mother Nature can’t just rely on squirrels forgetting what’s buried to keep forests going. The light was also very impressive this past week, got colors moving for alla those that looked up. Local wildlife is on the move, and yet, how many saw the quiet kind in the forest during the rain. Im@going to collect wrack, which is seaweed bunched up after a storm… makes amazing compost and straight up fertilizer.
