Welcome to Whittier, Alaska โ a remote town where most residents live inside a 14-story building called Begich Towers. Because of the extreme weather and freezing winters, the building was designed to function like its own mini city.
Inside, youโll find apartments, a grocery store, post office, church, laundry facilities, and even access to the local school without residents needing to go outside. ๐คฏ
