Did you know this beauty was first constructed in 1867 and still serves as an active navigational aid? And yup—it’s a big one: the tower stands 112 feet (34 m) tall, with a focal height of 106 feet (32 m).

Here’s your “wait, WHAT?!” fact of the day: the lighthouse’s lens was a third order Fresnel lens (and it was later removed in 1985). Also, the station was automated in 1968, marking the end of the lighthouse keeper era. Now for the haunting: it’s widely rumored to be haunted by Henry Vina (or Vavrina), a keeper who served from 1955 to 1965. Visitors and volunteers report phantom footsteps, mysterious lights turning on by themselves, and even the unexpected smell of cigar smoke.
