Most people will look at those numbers and assume that’s the story.

It’s not.

The story is that when people talk about Hamlet, they don’t start with the volume.

This isn’t the same market it was a few years ago.

Things are harder right now. They just are.

Leads are harder.
Consumers are slower.
Follow up takes longer.
Agents are having to work way harder for the same result.

But I think a lot of people are focused on the wrong thing right now.

Everyone only celebrates closings and contracts.

In this market I think you need to start celebrating the small wins again.

The hard conversation you handled better.
The script you finally got comfortable with.
Actually making your calls when you didn’t feel like it.
Getting sharper on presentation.
Learning your market deeper.
Following up one more time instead of giving up.

The agents that become obsessed with the boring stuff and becoming great at this craft are the ones that are going to win over the next few years.

– knowing what actually works

– following up when no one responds
