Day Two of Our Open House in Gainesville, FL
I just have to give a big shout-out to the incredibly kind and welcoming community here in Gainesville. Years ago, during my medical career, I spent countless hours traveling—at least twice a month—to Shands Hospital. From Purchasing, to the OR, to Pulmonary, I built some of the most meaningful professional relationships of my life. Being back here always brings a mix of nostalgia and gratitude.
This past year, I had the privilege of renovating this lovely home for a friend, and we could not be happier with how beautifully it turned out. But as wonderful as the house is, what truly stands out is this community.
During my stay at the Residence Inn this weekend, I’ve been greeted with kindness and politeness everywhere I’ve gone. And last night, while having dinner at one of my favorite spots—Dragonfly—I met two sisters at the patio bar. Our conversation began casually, not wanting to intrude on their evening, but soon unfolded into a series of coincidences and shared experiences that felt almost surreal.
The most astonishing moment came when one sister asked how I liked living in St. Augustine. She mentioned she’d been searching for homes there and showed me one she loved… only for us to discover it was the exact same home I had toured with a client—and my dream home, too. If the stars align and our paths cross again, I hope I might help her make her dream come true. If not, I’m simply grateful for the warm, genuine connection shared over a lovely dinner.
Thank you, Gainesville, for your hospitality and your heart. Until we meet again! 🌟🏡💛
