Douglas M. Scarponi, Broker Associate I began investing in St. Augustine Florida Real Estate several years before making the move from Richmond, Virginia to become a permanent resident.

My numerous visits to the First Coast over the course of those years reinforced my love for the Ancient City and my desire to make this town home for my family. I grew up near Cape Canaveral Florida and later lived in several areas of Northern, Western and Central Virginia as well as New Orleans, Louisiana. My earlier career in Accounting and Finance as an executive for companies in various indust

ries (including Real Estate Sales, Property Management and Construction) helped me develop my talents as a negotiator, trainer and leader. These skills are extremely valuable in successfully navigating and executing today’s Real Estate transactions. My education, with a degree in Accounting from James Madison University, MBA from The University of Richmond and being a CPA licensed in Virginia and Florida (non-practicing) all contribute to a strong monetary knowledge base that I use to help my customers in buying and selling Real Estate. I am also certified by the National Association of Realtors as a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Resort & Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS) and Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR). “Belle of the Ball”
Lake Martin, Louisiana

With the drawdown also happening at Lake Martin, though not as significant as the one I’ve shared at Henderson Lake in the Atchafalaya Basin, we’re able to see an additional two feet of the trunks of the cypress trees. This has helped with creating new compositions and allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful “bell” shaped bases in all their glory.

All Flagler residents should expect Tropical Storm like conditions in Flagler County on Wednesday and Thursday. Greatest impacts will be along the coast due to high winds, elevated tides and damaging surf.
Coastal evacuations may be necessary, too early to tell at this point.
