Interest rates went up, and we believe in sharing all of the market news, not only the headlines people want to hear.

Higher rates do not mean the market stops. Serious buyers are still buying, and sellers are still selling.

For buyers, this shift may mean:

• Less competition
• Fewer bidding wars
• More negotiating power
• Opportunities for seller-paid closing costs or rate buydowns
• More time to make a thoughtful decision

Waiting for rates to fall has risks. Lower rates often bring more buyers into the market, which may increase competition and push prices higher.

For sellers, buyers are still out there. If you need or want to sell, waiting for the “perfect” market may delay your plans. The key is pricing the home correctly, preparing it well, and marketing it to the serious buyers who are active now.
