This is the first crown I’ve made in 2023.

Normally by this time in the year I’ve worn at least one crown a month, but this year I’ve been doing some internal work, slowing down and getting really clear on what I want this experience to represent.

I held a crowning ceremony for myself and intentionally chose flowers that represented the changes I’ve seen in myself, and the continued growth I want to experience this year. It has always been my goal to make Two Wild Wallflowa healing experience, but I never felt like it was a healing experience I was worthy of. I felt like I was constantly chasing the feeling of growth but never slowing down enough to actually experience it for myself, and it was honestly scary to take a moment and really embrace the experience of meeting myself where I am at and showing that version of myself love when I felt like my worth was so tied in other places.

2023 is taking me in completely new directions, directions that are scary, and exciting, and fulfilling.

Delphinium- for the pure joy I have been lucky enough to create energy day

Pink Roses- for the gratitude I have for the love given and received, by myself and others

Daisies- for the creative energy re-emerging in my life

Carnations- to remember the losses that have brought me to this point

Golden Rod- to celebrate the growth I’ve experienced and will continue to experience

Eucalyptus- to remove negative energy and replace it with the positive

Creativity is a ritual of devotion to yourself- to the world. If art is attention and attention is love, then art is love and the art we are making is a love story.

The goal of Two Wild Wallflowers is to create a safe space for you to come just as you are.

There is no other you, and that is your super power.

October can be a hard month for women struggling with child or infant loss. It can often be triggering for us as we tell our stories.

If you know a woman who has gone through a loss, it can often be hard to know what to say, but flowers can usually say more than we can.

For the mother who is missing her angel baby, send tulips to represent the perfect love she has for her angel.

For the mother who is looking at another negative test, send sunflowers to symbolize devotion to her chosen path.

For the mother who is mourning the baby they thought they would have this year, send lilies as a reminder that happier days are ahead of her.

For the mother that is hoping to adopt, send lisianthus to represent the gratitude she’ll feel when she receives the good news she’s waiting for.

For the mother who is pregnant after her loss, send peonies to represent the love she has for the baby she lost, and for the love she has for her rainbow baby.

For the mother who is trying to conceive, send daffodils to symbolize the new beginnings she is creating.

For the mother experiencing a loss, send roses to represent your love for them.

For the mother going through IVF, send chrysanthemums to bring her joy and optimism in her journey.

For the mother waiting for a surrogate, send carnations to represent her motherly love.
