Erv Weiler
In 1978, Erv took a shot at real estate and immediately fell in love with the excitement and ever-changing tides of the industry. He took a leap of faith, leaving behind a profitable career as an accountant to join the Minnesota Board of Realtors as an agent and appraiser in St. Paul. In 1981, Erv stepped into mortgage banking where he enjoyed a successful career until his retirement in 2008. It was then that Erv was reminded of his first love: helping people buy and sell real estate. He launched another career in the industry—this time in beautiful St. George, Utah.
Through his own relocations, selling and buying homes, Erv understands, first hand, the various details of and emotions associated with that process. Using those experiences, he builds relationships of trust with each new contact and carries that trust through a successful closing. His empathy along with a broad knowledge of the industry, continues to earn him the respect and friendship of his clients.
Erv was born and raised in North Dakota. After finishing high school, he served four years in the United States Air force — stationed in Texas. Having gained an affinity for the Dallas Cowboys and warm weather, he remained in Texas to attend Midwestern University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. While raising seven kids of their own, Erv and his wife Elaine, also served as foster parents to many more. They now reside together in St. George, Utah where every day feels like a vacation whether working, volunteering or sinking putts. Erv joins RE/MAX for their excellent reputation in service to the community, as well as their internationally recognized brand.
