1. The heat is no joke 🔥
Everyone knows it’s hot here… but no one really gets it until they move in. We’re talking 110°+ in the summer — your car feels like an oven, your steering wheel will brand you, and you’ll question every outdoor plan from June through August. 😅
But here’s the thing — it’s a dry heat, so once you get used to it (and figure out what time of day you can actually go outside), it’s totally manageable. The payoff? Warm weather year-round and sunshine almost every single day. If you’re hoping for a white Christmas, it’s not here. (But you can drive about 40 mins North & enjoy a day in the snow. 😉)
2. The lifestyle is slower — and people like it that way ☀️
If you’re moving here from a big city, this might surprise you: St. George moves at its own pace. People are friendly, family-centered, and you’ll notice a real sense of community. Don’t be shocked when your neighbors wave or actually stop to talk, it’s kind of our thing.
Life here is slower, more peaceful, and focused on enjoying the outdoors and family time. It’s the perfect place to unplug a little and breathe again.
3. There’s more to do than people think 🌄
A lot of people assume St. George is “just” for retirees or outdoor junkies — but it’s honestly so much more than that. We’ve got great local restaurants, concerts, golf courses, events, and weekend trips that’ll blow your mind.
Whether it’s hitting a trail, grabbing coffee downtown, or taking a quick drive to Zion or Vegas, there’s always something going on if you’re up for exploring.
