I love the little pieces of history you stumble across in old homes, and this is a cool one! 🥰 This original fire hose house was once used to store fire hose so nearby homes could respond quickly in the event of a fire. It's such a fun reminder of another era... and today, it makes a pretty charming garden shed....535 Oxbow Road, Newbury VT

Some homes just have a feeling about them... and I felt it the moment I walked through the door. Warm, welcoming, cozy, and full of character. The kitchen gave me all the Nancy Meyers vibes, but that's just the beginning. Well… today was the day. 🐔

We processed our first batch of meat birds, and I’ll be honest, t was a little bittersweet. I definitely had a few moments where I questioned my life choices. 😅 But I also felt really proud.

These chickens had one job, and we made sure they had a good life while they were here, fresh air, lots of space, good food, and plenty of care. If we’re going to eat meat, I think it’s important to know where it comes from and to respect the animals that provide it.

So yes… I cried a little… and then vacuum-sealed a whole lot of chickens.

As a thank-you to some of the amazing people who have trusted me with their real estate journey, a few clients will be receiving a farm-fresh chicken from our flock. (Probably the most Vermont closing gift ever. 🏡🐔)

Now if you’ll excuse me, I think I’m going to avoid making eye contact with the next batch for a little while. 🤣
