Our team has been hard at work brightening up RuralEdge communities with beautiful spring flowers and seasonal plantings.

From colorful flower beds to welcoming entrances, these improvements help create vibrant spaces that residents can enjoy throughout the season. We take pride in maintaining attractive, inviting communities and appreciate the efforts of our staff who help make these spaces bloom.

Our esidents recently came together to host a potluck farewell BBQ in honor of Property Manager Stahr Brown, recognizing her four years of service and commitment to their community.

The event was organized by residents as a way to express their appreciation for Stahr's dedication, support, and the positive relationships she built during her time at the property. Tenants and staff gathered to share food, stories, laughter, and memories while celebrating the impact she has had on the lives of so many residents over the years.

The strong turnout and heartfelt well wishes were a reflection of the connections Stahr fostered within the community and the care she brought to her role each day. Events like this highlight the sense of community that residents have built together and the meaningful relationships that make a neighborhood feel like home.

Keeping housing safe, functional, and well-maintained isn’t just a job, it’s essential community work.

RuralEdge is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support 1,000+ housing units across the Northeast Kingdom, including homes for seniors, families, and individuals with disabilities.

If you’re someone who can troubleshoot, repair, and take pride in hands-on work that directly supports people’s homes and stability, this role is for you!

What you’ll do:
• Repair and maintain residential and program housing units
• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance issues
• Complete work orders and preventive maintenance
• Support inspections, safety checks, and unit turnovers
• Maintain curb appeal and property grounds
• Participate in on-call rotation for evenings and weekends

This is more than maintenance, it’s helping people feel safe and supported in their homes every day.

NeighborWorks Weeks is officially complete!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to support projects across our communities, to all the individuals and businesses who generously donated materials and supplies, and most importantly to our residents who made each event meaningful.

Community is built through shared effort, care, and connection—and none of this work would be possible without the people who show up, give their time, and invest in the places we call home. Each project, conversation, and helping hand made a real difference.

At Gilman Senior Housing, staff, a board member, and residents came together for a property clean-up and beautification project!

The day was focused on refreshing and revitalizing outdoor spaces. Work included rehabilitating a flower bed to bring new life and color back to the property, cleaning and organizing the enclosed porch and basement, clearing out the area beneath the porch, organizing the garden shed, and removing old garden beds to prepare the area for future improvements.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the grounds cleaner, brighter, and more welcoming for residents.

Hardwick community spaces got a little extra care this week with a property clean-up at Bemis Block and 9 South Main Street!

Staff and residents worked side by side to clear outdoor areas, tidy up grounds, and improve the overall look and feel of both properties.

At Peacham Academy Apartments, staff and residents came together to beautify the property, rehab a flower bed and walkway, and enjoy a community lunch!

The day included hands-on work to refresh and restore a flower bed and walkway to the post office, helping enhance the outdoor space for everyone to enjoy. The team also shared a lunch generously donated by Subway in St. Johnsbury.

Thank you, Subway in St. Johnsbury, for your generosity, it helped make the day even more special!
