Most teams ask the wrong question about AI.

"Should we fine-tune or just use prompts?"

That's not the real decision. The real question is where should your intelligence live. In the model weights? In external knowledge? Or both?

Here's the thing nobody tells you. Fine-tuning cannot reliably teach new facts. If you need the model to know things that change, use retrieval. Fine-tuning is for HOW the model behaves. Not WHAT it knows. Get this backwards and you burn months on training runs that should have been a retrieval pipeline.

Prompting wins on:
Speed (iterate in minutes)
Flexibility (one model, many tasks)
Cold start (no examples needed)
Knowledge updates (change the prompt, done)

Fine-tuning wins on:
Consistency
Lower inference cost at scale
Behavior that can't drift

Before you fine-tune, ask yourself:

1.Have you actually exhausted prompting?

So we built something crazy today.

Every real estate investor is basically fighting over the same recycled leads. Zillow. BatchLeads. PropStream. By the time you call someone, 10 other investors already hit them up.

The motivated sellers with real urgency — people weeks away from losing their home — those leads don't exist in any subscription product. Nobody's selling them because nobody built the system to find them.
