People often ask what it actually looks like to work with an interior designer, so we thought we’d share a little peek into our process.

What you see on install day is the fun part — but behind that moment are hundreds (honestly, probably thousands) of decisions that lead up to it. From selections and layouts to tracking furniture, coordinating with contractors, and managing timelines, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes.

My job is to handle all of that so the process stays on track and you get to enjoy the moment when everything finally comes together.

I see this all the time… a home sits on the market and people assume something big must be wrong.

Most of the time, it’s not. It’s usually smaller things that add up, like how the space feels, how it flows, and whether someone can actually picture themselves living there.

Buyers aren’t just looking at homes, they’re reacting to them. When it feels right, things typically move faster.

Hi there! I’m Becca, owner of GDS Interiors here in the Twin Cities.

I’ve been in this industry for over 10 years now (which feels wild to say out loud). What started as something I “fell into” has turned into something I genuinely can’t imagine not doing. I love interiors, but what’s kept me here is the people, the collaboration, and the chance to help someone walk into their home and feel something.

I’m loyal. Outspoken (I’ve been told 😅). I’m down for just about anything. Big on family time. Always trying new restaurants. Dreaming about Norway and the northern lights. And if I could go to any concert? It’s gotta be Queen Freddie Mercury 4Life.

Design is what I do, but connection, creativity, and loving this season of life is who I am.
