Update from the City!

City of St. Petersburg Issues Citywide Boil Water Notice



Last night, the City made the difficult decision to shut off potable (drinking) water due to major water main breaks from Hurricane Milton. Crews are making repairs and potable water is back on, though pressure may be low. Once the system is pressurized, water service should resume as normal. However, a citywide boil water notice has been issued for all water customers. This includes residents of St. Petersburg, Gulfport, South Pasadena, and Lealman.



According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) during a boil water notice period:

Use boiled or bottled water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or cleaning
Important to completely boil water by bring water to a full rolling boil for 1 minute and allow the water to cool before use.

The City will notify the public when the boil water notice is no longer in effect.
