The plastic on this ducting is touching the furnace exhaust. It will melt and then someone will have to replace it again...

Lots of rusting here. Usually caused by the de-electric fitting that has deteriorated allowing the copper and steel to touch which causes a di-electric or galvanic reaction. Then it looks like this mess. Oh and the insulation should be taken off before it melts.......
