Why so many people are moving to Florida, and why you should consider moving too!

United Van Lines' Annual National Movers Study reported that in 2021, Florida was the state with the 5th largest inbound migration in the country.

The top 5 states where people are leaving should come as no surprise:
1. New Jersey
2. Illinois
3. New York
4. Connecticut
5. California

So why is Florida attracting so many Americans? It's not just the beaches and warm weather!

Florida is a much more affordable state to live in. The state generally has a lower cost of living, a lower tax burden on its residents, and more job creation. Florida's more hands-off approach to COVID-19 has allowed the states economy to grow faster than those states with stricter policies.

Freddie Mac’s Primary Mortgage Market Survey shows mortgage rates are falling again. The most common, 30-year fixed rate mortgage, is now below 3% for the first time since February. The 15-year fixed rate mortgage is also now at 2.29%.

This is the third straight week that rates have declined. These lower rates will undoubtedly help any homebuyers looking to improve their financial position during this low-inventory housing market!

The drop in mortgage rates is good news for homeowners who are still looking to take advantage of the very low rate environment.
