LATE-FILE HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 11
If your home is your permanent residence, you may qualify for the Florida Homestead Exemption. In addition to reducing your taxable value, Homestead can provide valuable long-term savings through the Save Our Homes benefit, which limits annual increases to your assessed value.
The deadline to file for the 2026 Homestead Exemption is September 11, 2026.
Homestead isn't the only exemption available — depending on your circumstances, you may qualify for additional property tax exemptions or benefits.
