🌟I am thrilled to have helped my seller close on this vacant property he has held onto for 40 years! After 5 months with little activity, we decided to take it off the market for the summer and relist the property in August. With new photos, a slightly revised listing description, and the same list price, we had 3 offers within 7 days! Even though all 3 were well below list price, 1 offer stood out. After negotiating with the buyers agent, we closed at 95% of list price in 10 days! Here’s the best part - this seller is 84 years old - no e-mail, no texting, no active cell phone. No local family, friends, or guardian. It’s just him. Currently living in a home where he is sleeping on the floor of his living room because his home needs some work. Barely a kitchen and he has clothes lines running through his kitchen to dry his clothes. All he wanted was to rebuild his home and help with an Apple cell phone he purchased 6 months ago. He has never owned a cell phone and did not have a number hooked up and was lost on how to start. While sitting at Panera Bread, after we negotiated his offer, I helped him hook up to Wi-Fi and called his service provider to help him get connected on his new phone. After 30 minutes getting everything set up, he was so grateful for my time spent with him, but I was even more grateful I was able to help this client. Our job as a realtor, is not only to help buyers and sellers buy and sell, but to also help in many ways that are unexpected, and that’s a good feeling at the end of the day.
