National Splurge Day encourages us to break out the rainy day funds and spend a little. Splurging doesn't require wiping out the savings account, especially if it's only an occasional event. Of course, splurging comes in many forms. To some, it can mean saying yes to whipped cream on your latte or that bracelet you've been eyeing. To others, it might mean booking that vacation you've been dreaming about taking or replacing your clunker of a car. However you celebrate the day, savor the indulgence and have a terrific Thursday!

In operation since 2002, St. Petersburg’s Saturday Morning Market is one of the largest markets of its kind in the Southeast US, and ranks among the biggest in the country with an average weekly attendance of more than 10,000 during its peak months. For those who haven’t been, the massive event showcases local farmers, international ready-to-eat goods (more than 15 countries and their cuisines are represented weekly), fresh seafood, baked goods and others. The market also features selected local artists and craftsmen, as well as live music. The huge open-air farmers market will move to 212 3rd Street North, on the property of First United Methodist Church, for the summer from 9 am-1 pm. Have a spectacular Saturday!
