Downtown St Petersburg draws visitors to its many museums- Dali Museum, the Chihuly and Holocaust Museums, the James Museum of Western Art and a new museum of the Arts and Crafts Movement within or close to the Downtown St. Petersburg Historic District. The St. Petersburg Pier is a famous landmark from which beautiful sunsets can be viewed. Construction has begun on a new pier concept and the pier is scheduled to open later in 2019.
