History of Fendig Realty
Fendig Realty, Inc was established in 2002 and operated under the broker license of Albert Shelander & Associates. Also operating under this brokerage license are Shelander & Associates, Inc and South Georgia Land. Albert Fendig Shelander is 77 years old and started developing real estate in 1951. He is a Realtor Emeritus of the National Board of Realtors and has won the award for the largest individual sale two consecutive years from the Brunswick realtors board. Ben Fendig is currently the broker for Fendig Realty, Inc.
History of the Fendig Family
The Fendig Family has a long history in the Brunswick and St. Simons Island areas. Albert Fendig was born in 1870 in Indiana, and moved shortly thereafter to the St. Simons area. The Fendig's interest in real estate began when Albert bought Cumberland Island. He worked at shipyards building naval ships and in his spare time worked in the real estate business. Since that time the Fendig family has been involved in real estate, and many other businesses in this area. The family has worked hard in this community to provide a positive impact for those who live and vacation in the area.
