Bitter sweet!? It is so exciting and a bit sad to see the old owners, Tom and Geri Smith, exchange keys with a great new(er) family, the Stanleys, moving into town from the east coast! The Smiths owned and cared for the house for 50+ years. In kindergarten I was there for Christmas and they recorded me reciting what seemed like an hour long poem about the holiday and the meaning, I still have the recording. Now there are new children racing the house and exploring the hidden tunnel between the 2 upstairs bedrooms... new family, new memories, same great community- Life is better in our small town- Ste Genevieve!
