23 years ago, my 8-month-pregnant wife and I purchased our first home. It was a 1950’s fixer, and me being the bold, 20-something-year-old, I was confident that I could fix anything! Ha!
We got a pretty poor excuse of a home inspection, and we moved into our personal nightmare. I was very angry and bitter, and I was convinced that home inspections were a scam. About a year later, my brother-in-law heard about an inspection company that was using thermography in inspections, and I thought, “Now there is a difference!”
22 years of learning as much as I could about houses and turning my frustration over a bad inspection into superior service for my clients and their agents, I am going to be hanging up my inspector cap and moving to greener pastures. Both of our kids have ended up on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, and we are going to head down there and see what kind of fish I can catch.
I am having a hard time expressing my gratitude and love for this community. I have made so many friends and family over the years. I am going to miss you all dearly.
I will cherish the kindness that Salem has shown us, and I am proud that we got to raise our little family here.
Thank you all, my friends.
And if you need to get some sunshine in the winter. Just let me know. I am thinking of becoming a tour guide! Haha.
