“I have no idea what I’m supposed to be doing.”
This is the most common phrase I hear from first-time homebuyers, time and time again.
My answer is always the same: “You’re not supposed to. That’s my job!”
Let’s be honest, if everyone knew what they were supposed to be doing throughout the whole process, I wouldn’t have a job. Period. It’s no different than if I tried to step in and do what you do each day. I’d be lost 🥴
I’ve spent years in this industry making sure I can guide you through every step of buying your first home.
Here are five easy steps to get you started:
👩🏻💼Find a Realtor (that’s me! 🙋🏻♀️) Connect with a local expert who understands the Oregon real estate market and your specific needs.
👩🏻💻Find a Lender: Get pre-approved for a mortgage to know exactly what you can afford. Don’t have a lender resource? No worries! It’s my job to help you find one!
🔍Research the Area: Look into neighborhoods that fit your lifestyle and future plans—think schools, amenities, and commute times.
💵 Determine Your Budget: Consider your finances and set a realistic budget that includes potential home repairs and closing costs.
‼️MOST IMPORTANTLY: Don’t go it alone. An experienced realtor is really the key smooth purchase. 😉 I know it can seem scary, but I promise it’s not. And my job is to make it as smooth as possible.
