This spring we helped this wonderful family of four sell their charming cottage and thought we would be looking for some time for their next place to land. But one of these two had a property in mind already. So within about 6 weeks & after some back-and-forth, their offer was accepted and we were off to the races. We definitely experienced some surprises, but they stood firm and made it to the closing table. Prior to all that we found a picture on a random Instagram account that caught our attention and we thought it looked exactly like the place they were trying to purchase so we showed it to them. Not sure if it was “a sign” 🤣 but definitely an uncanny resemblance. Recently, we went to their new home to check in on them, and the interior has already been painted, carpet samples were on the countertop and their little guy showed us his bedroom. The neighbors have been by to meet them and have offered their tractors and equipment to help them accomplish some other tasks. We cannot wait to see what they do to make this property their home! This young man came to us via his parents recommendation. (Thank you, Glenn and Tammy!) Right out of the gate we wrote an offer for him on a property that had been flipped & seemed to fit his needs. Best of all it had a shop! But after the home inspection we terminated because the house was crawling with termites and the sewer line was blocked 6’ in. The disappointment was real! But he regrouped and ended up finding the perfect property for him that was in great condition. He’s been in there just over a month and all is well. This cute cottage closed today after being listed 31 days ago. It has been our experience that each house has its share of memories. With this house being built in 1925, it has a lot of stories to tell! This latest one welcomed a young man just starting out, then he brought his new bride to it & later two babies joined them. They leave now, ready for the next home story & another new beginning! Congratulations to our sellers for a successful transaction! This good man came to us by way of referral, which we are always so grateful for. (Thanks Craig!) He was heading out of state but in no big hurry. We did our initial walk through, he took our suggestions & the showings began. Maybe we should mention that he did not drive a car. March dawned quite rainy & cold. Typically sellers are not present during buyer showings and he was a real trooper about finding a quick place to land for a half hour or so. A great buyer & his broker showed up and we were in business. Today we called him to let him know his transaction was complete & he was almost to his WY destination.
